We have an excellent opportunity for a Project Support Officer to join our Energy Capital team, supporting the delivery of innovative programmes that help create warmer, greener and more sustainable homes and communities across the West Midlands.
In this role, you will provide vital programme management support across a portfolio of Net Zero Homes and Communities projects, helping to ensure programmes are delivered effectively, on time and within budget. Working closely with Programme Managers, workstream leads and key stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in maintaining governance, monitoring performance and supporting successful project delivery.
What you’ll be doing- Maintaining key programme documentation, including plans, RAID logs, lessons learned and budgets.
- Preparing programme and project reports to support effective decision‑making and governance.
- Supporting risk, issue and change management processes.
- Assisting with financial monitoring and reporting activities.
- Collating and presenting programme information to support performance reporting, evaluation and learning.
- Providing comprehensive support to Boards, Groups and Forums, including agenda management, minute taking and action tracking.
- Building positive relationships with stakeholders and responding to enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Supporting communications activities and programme engagement.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of project management processes across the Energy Capital team.
We’re looking for someone who can bring:
- Experience supporting programme management and reporting processes.
- Experience producing and monitoring dashboards, reports and performance information for Boards and Committees.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, alongside virtual meeting platforms.
- The ability to adapt and thrive in a changing environment where priorities and programme requirements may evolve over time.
The location for this role is Summer Lane with at least 2 days a week spent in the office.
Salary and benefitsWe advertise salary ranges, with new appointments typically starting at the lowest salary point. In exceptional cases, the salary point may be adjusted to secure the best candidate.
