* About the role:

*** We’re hiring new financial crime investigators due to
** continued business growth**.
* You’ll conduct important financial crime screening checks and investigations into new applicants and existing customers.
* You will use screening tools to
** match customer data against PEPs & Sanctions lists
** and use your
** initiative
* * to determine the risks associated with the application/ customer.
* You will review customer profile information and
** transactional activity
** to identify financial crime risks, and take appropriate action on the account..
* You will submit
** internal Suspicious Activity Reports
** in instances where suspicious activity has been identified.
* As the business grows you may be required to take on additional tasks to support the Financial Crime Team.
* You’ll work in the office 3 days per week.
* You'll work 40 hours per week. This means you'll work Monday to Friday, from 9am to 6pm, with a one hour lunch break.
* You'll also work one full weekend (Saturday and Sunday), once every 4 weeks, and have two weekdays off in lieu.##

** How you’ll impact those objectives
*** You’ll support new
** application checks
** and
** existing customer monitoring**.
* You’ll investigate potential Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and Sanctions matches, and assist with
** onboarding reviews**.
* You’ll
** monitor activity
** and transactions on customer accounts.
* You will help mitigate risk by escalating Financial crime concerns that you have identified during your reviews.##
** What do you need to succeed in this role?
*** Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team.
* Have an analytical mindset with a good attention to detail.
* Strong decision-making skills, and excellent writing skills to document decisions.
* Can effectively communicate with customers, applicants and senior management, when necessary.
* Proficient time management skills, comfortable meeting targets and deadlines.
* Previous financial crime experience is advantageous, particularly around screening and KYC.
* Experience in identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions, including the use of automation and AI technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial crime prevention.
* Demonstrated ability to leverage data, machine learning, and AI to develop and optimise strategies for fraud and financial crime detection and prevention.##
