Location: Leeds LS25 (Hybrid - 1 Day Working from Home)Salary: Up to £28,000 DOE (Pro Rata)Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (24-28 Hours per Week)Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.
Working closely with the finance team, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting function, ensuring supplier payments are processed efficiently and financial information is maintained accurately.
Key Responsibilities- Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Matching, batching and coding invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving account queries
- Preparing and processing supplier payments via BACS and cheques
- Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records
- Assisting with payment runs
- Supporting sales ledger activities
- Processing CIS and subcontractor invoices, including retentions
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Providing support to the wider finance team as required
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
- Strong numerical and data entry skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Experience using Xero accounting software
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Experience working with CIS and subcontractor accounts
- Previous experience within the construction industry
- AAT qualification, or currently studying towards one (or equivalent experience)
- Salary up to £28,000 DOE (pro rata)
