Our Corporate Tax team continues to grow, supporting a broad mix of clients from owner‑managed businesses to large corporate groups. We are looking for an ambitious Assistant Manager to join the team and take on greater responsibility across both compliance and advisory work.

This is a great opportunity for someone ready to step up, managing their own portfolio, building strong client relationships, and developing their advisory experience while supporting junior team members. What you’ll be doing day to day
  • Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring compliance deadlines are met and work is delivered to a high standard
  • Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns
  • Leading on a range of advisory assignments, including areas such as capital allowances, R&D claims, corporate restructuring, transactions and due diligence
  • Building strong client relationships and acting as a key point of contact, liaising directly with clients and HMRC
  • Collaborating with Managers, Senior Managers and Partners on more complex projects and technical matters
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members, reviewing their work and contributing to their development
  • Undertaking tax technical research and contributing to internal knowledge sharing
  • Supporting business development activities and identifying opportunities to add value to clients
  • Working closely with audit colleagues on year end tax compliance matters
About you
  • ATT/CTA or ACA/CTA qualified (or equivalent), or part‑qualified with relevant experience and a desire to complete CTA studies
  • Strong background in corporate tax compliance with growing exposure to advisory work
  • Experience of managing client relationships and handling a portfolio of work
  • Confident reviewing work and supporting more junior team members
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage competing deadlines and priorities
  • Clear communicator, able to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Proactive and commercially aware, with an interest in developing your advisory skillset and contributing to the wider team
