This full-time Financial Consultant role is a home based position looking after clients in the Cheltenham and Gloucester area. The role is supported by our team based in Royal Wootton Bassett, and commuting to the office once a week is expected. The Financial Consultant will meet with clients to understand their financial goals, risk tolerance, and personal values, and will develop tailored financial plans and recommendations.
Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting financial and investment analyses, preparing retirement and wealth management strategies, and presenting clear, compliant advice. The role involves ongoing review of clients’ portfolios, monitoring market and regulatory developments, and adjusting strategies as needed. The Financial Consultant will also collaborate with internal colleagues and St. James’s Place resources to ensure high-quality service and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning and Retirement Planning to design comprehensive, client-focused strategies.
- Strong knowledge of Investments and Finance, including understanding of risk, return, and portfolio construction.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, assess client needs, and formulate appropriate recommendations.
- Essential to have Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent) and commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and explain complex concepts clearly.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Experience in client-facing financial advisory or wealth management roles is essential in this role.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing time and priorities across office and home-based work.
