Accountancy Practice

A leading and growing chartered accountancy practice based in South East London seeks a Tax Assistant Manager to join our expanding tax team. The role blends personal and corporate tax work across a varied client portfolio, including SMEs, HNWIs, and owner‑managed businesses.

• Manage a portfolio of clients across personal and corporate tax
• Prepare and review tax returns and computations
• Provide tax planning advice on capital gains, inheritance tax, R&D, and remuneration strategies
• Respond to and manage HMRC enquiries and correspondence
• Support Partners with high‑level advisory work and bespoke projects
• Supervise and mentor junior tax staff
• Ensure compliance with UK tax legislation and keep up to date with regulatory changes

• CTA qualified (or studying). ACCA or ATT also considered
• Minimum 3 years’ UK practice experience in a tax‑focused role
• Strong knowledge of UK personal and corporate tax
• Client‑facing experience with excellent communication skills
• Proficient in tax software such as CCH, IRIS or similar
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage own workload
