Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Are you passionate about turning financial data into actionable insights with a knack for strategic thinking? If so we want you to join our Finance team as a Finance Business Partner.

Main duties of the job
  • Preparing, analysing and reporting on monthly management accounts
  • Developing and monitoring budgets, forecasts and financial models
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to support strategic decision‑making
  • Identifying cost‑saving opportunities and driving efficiency improvements
  • Supporting year‑end financial processes and liaising with auditors
  • Continuously improving financial systems, processes and controls

Qualifications
  • CCAB or CIMA finalist or passed finalist or qualified by extensive experience in all aspects of management and financial accountancy
  • CCAB or CIMA qualified
Knowledge, Skills and Expertise
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and finance ledger systems
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to plan tasks and demonstrate flexibility as required
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team
Experience
  • Experience of business planning and investment appraisal
  • Prior experience of NHS Finance principles and procedures
Analytical and Judgemental Skills
  • High level numeracy skills and ability to understand, interpret and explain highly complex, financial information across the organisation
Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence and negotiate complex situations
