Salary: £25,500

About the role:

This fixed-term contract is specifically designed for a professional at the beginning of their finance career who already brings hands‑on experience of at least one years industry experience under their belt. Joining Impression, you will hit the ground running by bringing your proficiency to our day‑to‑day processes. You will use your existing knowledge to manage transaction processing, maintain ledger integrity, and drive monthly timelines forward with proactive time management.

Backed by structured bi‑weekly 121s and a collaborative culture, this position is the perfect opportunity to showcase your execution drive and continue transforming your career alongside ambitious digital talent.

Responsibilities:
  • Daily Transaction & Ledger Integrity: Managing daily bank reconciliations within Xero to an excellent standard; proactively sourcing, coding, and matching bills to maintain clean financial records while taking full ownership of nominal ledger postings and resolving subsequent queries.

  • Compliance & Authorisation Workflows: Passing fully validated invoices to the Assistant Accountant, ensuring all items are strictly reviewed and approved in alignment with company authorisation limits and internal compliance benchmarks.

  • Workflow Automation Ownership: Driving the automated Approval Max process from initial data entry through to final completion, enforcing consistent finance approval workflows to safeguard our internal audit trails.

  • Expense Management & Policy Enforcement: Reviewing, verifying, and approving employee expenses with a sharp eye for accuracy; confidently communicating and pushing back where requests fall outside of company compliance scopes or expense policies.

  • Credit Control & Debt Management: Taking ownership of establishing credit limits with Euler Hermes, meticulously recording non‑paying accounts, and executing the timely collection of aged debt to optimise cash flow and provide clear visibility of outstanding positions.

  • Timeline Delivery Support: Actively supporting the finance team during high‑priority month‑end close procedures and annual year‑end audit cycles, assisting with balance sheet reconciliations to ensure a smooth, efficient, and timetable‑driven process.
