Equity Research Analyst; Macro Thematic - Hedge Fund – comp - WFH flex

Our client is a highly successful, award-winning global macro hedge fund that has delivered consistent double-digit returns since launching over a decade ago. With recent managed account launches and a new strategy on the horizon, they are building out their investment capabilities to support this expansion and are seeking an experienced Macro Thematic Equity Research Analyst to join their team.

In this role, you will work directly with the most senior PM to develop differentiated research that shapes the fund's forward-looking investment positioning. You will combine rigorous top-down macro analysis with deep bottom-up equity fundamentals, identifying long-term structural opportunities and market mispricing across AI, defence, energy transition, digital infrastructure and other emerging investment themes. Your research will directly inform portfolio construction and challenge consensus thinking, making this a pivotal role within the investment team.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years' experience in sell-side Equity Strategy, Thematic Equity Research or Macro Equity Strategy at a leading investment bank, with strong knowledge of global equity markets and excellent fundamental research and financial modelling skills.
