Group Finance Systems and Consolidation Accountant (FTC) Responsibilities

• System Administrator of SAP-BPC and CXO-Cockpit – manage system development, testing, deployment and administration.
• Perform user management – create and delete users, liaise with IT to resolve access issues.
• Develop and maintain system templates, reports, validations and workflows.
• Provide training to the global user community.
• Address and resolve daily help‑desk requests from subsidiaries.
• Collaborate with key Group functions (Tax, Treasury, HR, Co‑Sec, Health & Safety) to support development of dedicated functionalities and reports.
• Review system output reports and liaise with the Group Systems Manager to fix issues.
• Develop user‑friendly financial models to support forecasting, budgeting and multi‑year strategy processes.
• Support other ad‑hoc finance projects and analytical reviews.
• Assist with the main group close process and produce monthly group consolidated management accounts, including setting exchange rates, reviewing inter‑company mismatches, preparing balance‑sheet reconciliations, managing FX differences, reviewing Group cashflows, posting ad‑hoc journals, and adjusting acquisition and disposal accounting.
• Assist with quarterly forecast group consolidated accounts, annual budget and various strategic forecasts.
• Review monthly financial submissions from operating businesses and liaise with their finance teams to ensure compliance with Group policy.
• Review monthly management report to Senior executives.
• Prepare monthly reporting financial packs for the Head Office.
• Provide deliverables for the Annual and Interim external audit.
• Support review of financial information in the Annual Report and Half‑Yearly results announcements and investor presentations.
• Build working relationships at various levels across the Group and with Divisions to source information or assist in the understanding of financial information.

• Part‑Qualified or Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
• Experience in a large plc environment and complex consolidations desirable.
• Experience with EPM consolidation systems such as SAP BPC, Oracle EPM (Hyperion Planning, PBCS), Board, Anaplan, Onestream, CCH Tagetik, TM1, SAP BFC, etc.
• Experience using Sage Intacct and Concur.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving mindset, acting with the highest levels of integrity.
• Strong organisational skills, self‑motivated and able to work well under tight timescales.
• Ability to engage and communicate effectively with every level of the organisation and manage stakeholders.
• Highly numerate.

The role will be based at the Group head‑office in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, on the outskirts of London. The role may require some travel.

This role is initially being hired on a temporary, fixed term contract for 9 months, with opportunity to extend or become permanent.
