The roleThe Guildford/Heathrow/Newbury offices form a regional corporation team of over 25 professionals who specialise in more complex corporation tax for Azets as a whole, particularly
- Groups of companies
- Corporate interest restriction
- M&A
- R&D tax credit claims
- Share schemes
- Cross-border taxation, and
- Pillar 2
As a Senior Manager, you will be a key member of this fast-growing team, managing compliance for a portfolio of clients and providing advice in the above areas. You will have the unwavering support of partners and directors; we are a close-knit team building something special. You can choose to base yourself in any of the offices, as well as work from home up to two days per week, although in practice most of our team enjoy coming into the office most of the time.
We encourage our tax team to develop tax planning specialisms so that we can deliver high quality advice to clients and so that you can develop a niche for yourself. Leveraging off an excellent client base, you will have exposure to tax advisory projects which you will either lead or play a significant role in.
Key accountabilitiesDay to day duties
Oversee a small portfolio of key corporate clients, including their compliance process
Focus a large part of your time in supporting the Tax Partners to deliver tax advisory services and complex tax compliance services (such as CIR and Pillar
2) to existing and new clients
Assist in managing the corporate tax team by hearing the voice of your team members, conduct appraisals, provide coaching of assignments to support the development of team skills and knowledge and continually improve the quality and delivery of work
Establish strong working relationships with your own portfolio of clients through assignments and regular contact, including attending client meetings
Skills & experienceWhat are we looking for?
CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA (or equivalent) qualified
Previous Corporate Tax experience in a similar role
Strong technical knowledge and the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation
