Accountant, Accounts Receivable​/ Collections, Financial Analyst

Location:

Tamworth, U.K. Office-based with flexible work-from-home options.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of accounting.

• Process accounts payable invoices
• Process and prepare monthly management accounts
• Assist internal and external auditors with queries
• Assist in maintaining an organised finance department ensuring records are stored and maintained appropriately
• Regular GL account reviews on payables and receivables
• Monthly review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Assist in year-end process
• Provide cover to the Finance Manager as and when required
• Reconcile spending with budget and analyze costs
• Assist with regional tasks when required
• Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation
• Maintain a good working relationship with other departments and the regional finance team
• Work within the confines of the General Data Protection Regulations; respect the rights of Data Subjects and ensure personal data is processed in accordance with the Company’s Data Protection Policy
• Assist in other areas of the company’s operations (within capabilities) and other duties as required

• Account management experience with an understanding of accounting principles and practices
• AAT qualified or part qualified (ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent experience
• IT literate with good working knowledge of Excel and sound knowledge of finance systems
• Strong analytical skills and demonstrable numerical skills
• Highly organised with good attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and to tight deadlines

• Salary range between £40,000 and £45,000 gross per year
• 23 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
• Pension – 5% employer contribution, 5% employee minimum contribution
