This position will be full time in the office during the first 6 months and then after that you will be able to work from home 2 days a week on a hybrid working arrangement. Working closely with the wider finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate records and supporting the business as it continues to grow.
Key responsibilities will include:
Processing supplier invoices and maintaining accurate purchase ledger records Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice and payment queries Preparing and assisting with supplier payment runs Processing employee expense claims and ensuring correct coding and VAT treatment Managing corporate card transactions and reconciliations Posting and allocating cash receipts and payments Assisting with bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records Supporting month-end activities and finance administration tasks Assisting with payroll administration where required Identifying opportunities to improve processes and strengthen financial controls To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance position A good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and core finance processes
Experience with purchase ledger, reconciliations, banking and VAT Strong IT skills, including accounting software such as Sage and Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to work AAT qualification, or currently studying towards AAT, would be advantageous What's on Offer Salary £28-30,000 depending on experience Opportunity to join a growing and ambitious SME Supportive and collaborative working environment Varied and hands-on role with exposure across the finance function Opportunity to contribute to process improvements and business growth If you're looking for a role where you can develop your finance career, work as part of a friendly team and make a real impact within a growing business then this could be the role for you.
