Job Overview
Join a team of leading tax professionals in the fast-paced and challenging world of Corporate Tax.
Responsibilities- Act as the main contact for your client portfolio – building deep trusted client relationships and ensuring quality, delivery and a high standard of client service on engagements, including compliance and advisory services.
- Leverage knowledge of clients’ businesses to deliver tax advisory and solutions, taking a leading role in advisory projects (including M&A) and working with specialist teams such as transfer pricing and colleagues in other jurisdictions across the Deloitte network.
- Develop an understanding of clients’ tax data and technologies, and build experience in tax management consulting advisory services to identify and deliver improvements to clients’ tax compliance, reporting processes and governance.
- Work on the tax audits of major multinationals, identifying and resolving material tax technical issues and reviewing the accuracy of tax reporting.
- Mentor junior team members, playing an active role in their development.
- Work across a range of industries including Financial Services, Consumer Business, Energy & Resources, Technology, Media and Telecommunications.
- Manage diverse teams within an inclusive culture where people are recognised for their contributions.
- ICAS/ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification or experience.
- Proven track record of tax experience in industry or a professional services firm.
- Day‑to‑day management of a portfolio of clients.
- Relationship management with key UK and international contacts.
- Managing a team of individuals to deliver tax services to a varied portfolio of clients.
- Delivery and management of tax advisory projects, potentially including international restructuring, refinancing, transfer pricing and M&A projects.
- Managing and overseeing compliance and advisory projects, ensuring client and statutory deadlines are met, billing requirements are satisfied and effective delegation to UK and overseas teams.
- Handling technical matters with HM Revenue & Customs.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
