Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk (Temporary – 6 Months) South Norwich (Hybrid Working - only 1-2 days a week required in the office) Full-time – 37.5 hours per week £14–£15 per hour (depending on experience) Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger professional looking for your next contract opportunity? We are currently recruiting for a Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a busy and fast-paced finance team on a 6-month temporary basis .

The Role This is a hands-on position supporting a high-volume finance function, where accuracy, organisation, and the ability to meet tight deadlines are essential. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities Processing high volumes of purchase invoices with accuracy and efficiency Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution Managing payment runs and ensuring timely processing Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders Supporting month-end duties and reporting as required Identifying process improvements within the ledger function What We’re Looking For Proven purchase ledger experience within a high-volume environment (essential) Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines Confident communicator with a proactive approach Intermediate Excel skills are desirable Working Pattern & Benefits 37.5 hours per week (full-time) Enhanced hybrid working: only 1–2 days per week in the South Norwich office , with the rest working from home Competitive hourly rate of £14–£15 per hour Opportunity to gain valuable experience within a reputable organisation This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Purchase Ledger professional to join a supportive team with flexible working arrangements.
