Financial Accountant - Belfast MCS Group are delighted to be partnered with a leading organisation within the utilities sector as they look to appoint a Financial Accountant to join their established finance team. The Company:
Our client is a well established organisation operating within the utilities industry, providing essential services across the island of Ireland. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end close and partnering with stakeholders across the wider business. This opportunity would suit a qualified accountant looking to build on their financial reporting experience within a large, commercially focused organisation while gaining exposure to a highly regulated and evolving sector.

The Rewards:
As the successful Financial Accountant, you will receive: £40,000 - £44,000 base salary Annual bonus Hybrid working Enhanced maternity cover The opportunity to join a collaborative finance team within a leading utilities business.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for:
Supporting the month-end close process, including journals, accruals and reconciliations;
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting year-end audit activities Business partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to provide financial insight

The Person :
