Salary: £37,070 per annum; 35 hours per week; temporary position for up to 12 months

We have an opportunity for an Assistant Finance Business Partner to support the activities of the Fire and Gas Operational activities of the team, ensuring the delivery of an effective financial analysis service and implementing appropriate controls to enable the Group to achieve its business objectives and regulatory requirements. Working within a team of 7 and reporting to the Finance Manager, this role sits within the wider team of Affordable Housing Finance which looks after the Finance for Compliance Operations.

• Supporting the delivery of effective financial services to Compliance Operations to meet the Group’s objectives and regulatory requirements
• Preparing business information for key customers and stakeholders to enable effective monitoring and support decision-making, business planning and financial management
• Ensuring the maintenance, accuracy and completeness of financial records and adherence to financial controls to meet regulatory and statutory requirements, including effective management of all supporting processes
• Maintaining effective financial systems and tools to enable accurate and insightful internal and external financial analysis of the organisation’s asset portfolio and/or areas of business change
• Supporting the provision of meaningful information to facilitate the effective management of the organisation, reviewing financial performance against agreed criteria and the impact on asset financial performance and forecasts

• Literacy and numeracy equivalent to Grade C GCSE English and Maths
• Working knowledge of financial regulation, legislation and current practice
• Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
• Some experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
• Ability to interpret written instruction and maintain accurate records
• Knowledge of financial systems such as SAP
