Financial Management Information Officer – Bolton

Contract – 1 year initially

Salary: £18.24 per hour – approximately £35,600 per annum

– 3 months onsite for training, then 2 days home-based, 3 days onsite per week.

• Council experience essential
• Oracle experience essential

• Assist in the accurate preparation and maintenance of Department’s budgets.
• Undertake regular, timely and accurate monitoring of specific service areas of the Department’s Revenue Budget to enable appropriate control and review of financial performance throughout the year.
• Provide advice to, and liaise with, a range of budget holders across the Department to ensure that the best use is made of the Department’s financial resources.
• Develop, maintain and provide, in conjunction with Senior Managers in the service area, a range of financial information for budget holders including unit costs and budget monitoring information.
• Assist in the preparation of final accounts.
• Prepare the Revenue Budget for specified areas of the Departments.
• Prepare budget monitoring information for a specific area of the Department’s activity.
• Liaise and consult with a variety of budgets holders in order to agree budget allocations and monitoring information in relation to those allocations.
• Assist in the development of relevant financial training offered by the section.
