This Assistant Accountant role provides a good mix of transactional duties and accounting support, ideal for someone keen to develop their skills within a friendly team. The position offers broad exposure to core finance functions and the chance to contribute to a growing organisation.

What will the Assistant Accountant role involve?
  • Managing key transactional functions such as bank reconciliations and payroll inputting, supporting month‑end processes
  • Maintaining the accounts receivable ledger and processing adhoc supplier payments
  • Supporting debtor control activities to ensure timely collections
  • Contributing to team efforts around financial reporting and process improvements, including involvement in weekly payment runs and manual processes
Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy
  • Experience with in an SME finance environment, with the confidence to manage transactional finance duties and a proactive approach to work
  • Part‑qualified or actively studying towards AAT, with a genuine interest in developing a finance career
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and clear communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Good Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
