Technical Client Support Specialist / Paraplanner

£38,000–£45,000 + discretionary bonus & benefits

Our client is a growing Independent Financial Adviser firm looking for a Level 4 Qualified Technical Client Support Specialist / Paraplanner to join their friendly and collaborative team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of financial planning and is keen to broaden their knowledge and progress towards Level 6.

The Role

Working closely with advisers, you will support the full financial planning process, including:

• Reviewing client circumstances and existing arrangements.
• Conducting technical research across pensions, investments, protection, taxation and estate planning.
• Completing financial planning calculations.
• Preparing suitability reports and recommendation documentation.
• Supporting advisers with cashflow modelling and technical strategy.
• Managing cases through to completion and liaising with providers and colleagues.
• Contributing to improving technical processes and standards.
• Developing your knowledge and taking on increasingly complex cases over time.

We're looking for someone with:

• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent.
• Experience in a Paraplanning, Technical Support or Financial Planning role within an IFA or wealth management environment.
• Good knowledge of pensions, investments, protection and taxation.
• Strong analytical, research and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation.
• A genuine interest in continuing professional development.

** Level 6 / Chartered status isn't essential** – support will be provided for the right person looking to progress.
