Description

This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records of SFC's strategic investments and reporting requirements. The postholder will manage the SIIF database, produce reports, and provide administrative support to the Finance team.

Virtual interviews will be held week commencing 24 August 2026 (via Teams).

We expect that this role will end in February 2027.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter information about our investments into the Strategic and Infrastructure Investments Funding (SIIF) database, keeping it updated to ensure the integrity of data, including but not limited to: contact information, status of reporting dates, Reporting on Strategic Investments (ROSI)/evaluation reminders sent, and annual reports received.
  • Extract key pieces of information from the SIIF database for analysis and inclusion in reports to the Other Programme Funds Group, Audit and Risk Committee, and Finance Committee.
  • Administer the ROSI mailbox, categorising its contents and filing information on SharePoint.
  • Collate list of reports due by census date and liaise with award holders ensuring contact details are up to date ahead of requesting annual returns.
  • Liaise with and respond to award holder enquiries, including requesting ROSI returns, acknowledging and filing returns, and chasing un-returned reports.
  • Liaise with SFC Lead Officers requesting evaluation of ROSI returns acknowledging and filing assessments and chasing un-returned reports.
  • Support Finance and other colleagues on the funding award process ensuring letters of grant are approved and issued within a set timeframe.
  • Provide general administrative support as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

It is important through your CV / Cover Letter that you give evidence of proven experience of each of the following essential criteria:

  • Experience of working in an administrative role with database management.
  • Proven ability to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
  • Understanding of and competence in basic electronic filing and information management systems.
  • Ability to plan and manage workload and deadlines and deal with conflicting priorities while supporting different team members.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and customer relations skills – written and oral – to support interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive, positive, and flexible approach to work including the ability to work individually and in teams.

  • Normal full-time hours of work are 35 per week. We will consider flexible working arrangements. A flexi-time system is in operation.
