The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and market-leading organisation operating within the logistics and storage sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a growing business and play a key role within the finance team.

This position offers the chance to gain exposure to a variety of financial responsibilities, including accounts receivable, billing, reconciliations, payroll administration, and month-end support. The role is initially offered on a contract basis, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Support monthly close procedures and finance reporting activities.
• Maintain and manage the billing system.
• Generate customer invoices and account statements.
• Perform regular account reconciliations.
• Assist with the production of financial reports and analysis.
• Track, monitor, and resolve outstanding payments.
• Manage day-to-day accounts receivable activities.
• Administer monthly payroll processes.
• Oversee collections and customer account follow-ups.
• Process and post banking transactions.
• Identify and escalate potential bad debt exposures.
• Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders regarding account queries.
• Support wider finance functions as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in an Accounts Receivable or similar finance role.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Experience with finance and ERP systems would be advantageous, including Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Positive, proactive approach with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements.
• Must be within a commutable distance of the Rainham office.
• Right to work in the UK is essential. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
