About the RoleWe are seeking a French-speaking Junior Finance Controller to join a growing international finance team supporting operations across multiple African countries. This is an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified or fully qualified finance professional looking to develop their career within a dynamic, multicultural organisation with global operations.
Working closely with the Senior Finance Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting accounting activities across multiple entities, and building strong relationships with finance teams based internationally.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Senior Finance Controller with financial reporting and day-to-day finance operations.
- Analyse and reconcile accounting records across multiple international entities.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial information.
- Review and oversee General Ledger (GL) transactions across multiple countries.
- Work closely with operational teams, translating financial information into clear business insights.
- Liaise with finance and accounting teams across African subsidiaries.
- Support the continuous improvement of finance processes, systems, and controls.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial activities as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
- A recognised accounting qualification, either part-qualified or fully qualified.
- A minimum of 3 years' finance or accounting experience (5 years preferred).
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across international teams.
- A proactive, organised, and flexible approach to work.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel internationally, particularly across African countries, following the successful completion of probation.
