Management Accountant

Location: Antrim

A growing organisation is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its Finance team in Antrim. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the day to day accounting function, while supporting group reporting, financial control and compliance. The role will also work closely with senior commercial and operational stakeholders to improve financial performance, drive efficiencies and support the development of credit control processes.

Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly Management Accounts for two companies and divisional P&L and Balance Sheet reporting within strict deadlines. Produce weekly sales reporting and forecasting for Senior Leadership. Ensure accurate, timely and high-quality monthly financial reporting. Manage monthly balance sheet reviews, identifying risks and implementing appropriate controls. Oversee banking and ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements. Manage statutory and regulatory returns, includingVAT, Intrastat, ONS and PAYE.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes. Oversee monthly payroll and relevant year-end responsibilities, including P11D returns. Develop Management Accounts, KPIs and stakeholder reporting. Identify opportunities to improve processes, manage overheads and drive efficiencies. Work closely with Credit Control and senior stakeholders to improve credit processes and balance commercial opportunities with financial risk. Experience ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant. Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar senior finance role.

Strong financial reporting, analytical and financial control experience. Excellent attention to detail and a focus on KPI and business performance. Strong communication, leadership and influencing skills. Experience managing or mentoring Finance team members. Good understanding of compliance, audit and statutory reporting requirements.
