As Securities Operations Services Specialist on the Trust Investment Operations (TIO) team you will work closely with front office & operational partners to monitor & uphold risk-mitigating controls and ensure Securities settlement and processing occur as expected. You will also provide technical guidance to junior team members and assist in continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to partner with key stakeholders from operational areas, internal teams and external vendors to resolve any concerns that may arise.
Key responsibilities
Processing daily Settlements activity and resolve cash breaks
Partner with subject matter experts to analyze operational processes, design process mapping, and problem-solve to identify root causes and most viable solutions
Develop side by side analysis to quantify capabilities and identify gaps between existing and proposed processes or applications
Test the feasibility of new ideas and document new processes
Review existing functions and recommend efficiencies or reduce risk Develop, manage, and maintain team procedures and job aids Working independently with ability to compile, analyse, and interpret data to make strategic and tactical recommendations to business managers.
Reconciling positional assets and securities transaction
What will you bring to the role?
Experience in Financial Services, ideally within Corporate Trust Ability to use independent judgment for identification, resolution and escalations as appropriate
Strong analytical/critical thinking skills
Ability to navigate multiple systems/applications and utilize search engine tools to locate critical information
Ability to partner and coordinate with other job functions and teams on projects
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Experience with Trade settlements processing experience desirable
