Job overview

OUH is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced finance professional to join the Financial Performance team as Deputy Head of Financial Performance on a fixed-term contract or secondment basis.

This role is critical to maintaining the provision of high-quality financial management, forecasting, reporting and insight across the Trust. The post will provide additional capacity to support core financial performance activities whilst the team continues to support delivery of the Trust's financial recovery programme, including CIP identification, reporting and delivery.

The successful candidate will work closely with operational and corporate stakeholders, providing financial analysis and insight to support informed decision-making and improved financial performance across the organisation.

The role is expected to be office-based one fixed day per week (Monday) and one additional day as required, with flexibility to work remote on other days. Flexible working requests will be considered.

Please note this is a fixed-term contract or secondment opportunity

Main duties of the job

The role will act as the corporate finance lead for operational financial performance, providing trust-wide oversight, analysis and insight to support financial sustainability, productivity improvement and informed decision-making. The post holder will lead on financial performance reporting, forecasting, analysis of key performance drivers, and support the development of robust management information to inform decisions at divisional, executive and Board level.

The Financial Performance team is committed to continuous improvement, collaboration and professional development, working across organisational boundaries to improve financial understanding and support delivery of the Trust's financial objectives
