We are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing Chartered financial planning firm , established in 2009 and providing a modern, high-quality approach to financial planning for high-net-worth individuals and employee benefit clients. The business manages over £420 million of client assets and has built an excellent reputation for professionalism, technical expertise and outstanding client service. With ambitious growth plans over the next five years, the firm is expanding its highly valued Paraplanning team to provide additional support to its growing team of client-facing Advisers.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner to join a supportive and collaborative environment where technical excellence, professional development and career progression are actively encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend Adviser debriefings and receive instructions following client meetings. Interpret and analyse information gathered during client meetings. Conduct detailed research using appropriate financial planning and research tools to identify suitable solutions. Produce clear records to support research and recommendations undertaken. Prepare professional and technically accurate suitability reports, client-specific illustrations and key features documentation. Research and analyse investments, pensions, products and services appropriate to individual client circumstances.
Propose and draft financial solutions that meet clients’ goals, needs and objectives. Prepare existing client files ahead of regular reviews. Ensure client files remain accurate, complete and compliant on an ongoing basis. Work consistently within the firm's compliance procedures and defined business processes. Maintain high standards of risk management and operational effectiveness. Manage and prioritise your own workload while contributing to the wider Paraplanning team's objectives.
Work closely with Advisers and colleagues to ensure an efficient and robust advice process.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 2 years' experience working in a Paraplanning role within a financial planning organisation. Level 4 Diploma qualified in Financial Planning. Strong understanding of the financial planning and advice process. Good technical knowledge of investments and pensions . Experience producing professional, articulate and technically accurate suitability reports. Strong research and analytical skills. Excellent written communication skills. Ability to work independently and achieve agreed outcomes with minimal supervision.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Good understanding of compliance requirements within financial services. A proactive and results-driven approach. Desirable
Skills:
Experience working within a Chartered financial planning environment. Strong knowledge of pension analysis, investment research and financial planning solutions. Experience using financial planning and research tools. A genuine commitment to ongoing professional development and further technical learning. Previous experience supporting Advisers working with high-net-worth clients would be advantageous. Personality:
The successful candidate will be self-driven, reliable and results-focused , with a positive and professional approach. You will be someone who takes ownership of your work, plans ahead and is confident working both independently and as part of a wider team.
