The Team
The Compliance team works in partnership across Cova to promote good customer outcomes , effective governance and sound risk management.
As our specialist Financial Crime Compliance resource, you'll work closely with colleagues across Compliance, Risk, Financial Crime Operations and the wider business, providing expert advice, independent challenge and oversight across the Financial Crime Framework.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and influence how financial crime risk is managed across the business. You'll play a key role in ensuring our approach remains effective, proportionate and aligned to regulatory expectations, whilst building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
What you can expect in this role
You'll act as the business's specialist second-line adviser on financial crime matters.
You'll lead and continuously improve Cova's
Financial Crime Framework, supporting policies, standards and guidance.
You'll deliver the Enterprise-Wide Financial Crime Risk Assessment and Product Risk Assessment processes.
You'll provide oversight and challenge across fraud, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption risks.
You'll support strategic business initiatives to ensure financial crime risks are identified and managed effectively.
You'll produce governance reporting and insights for senior management and Committees.
You'll monitor emerging regulatory developments and help shape appropriate business responses.
You'll collaborate with colleagues across Compliance, Risk, Financial Crime Operations and the wider business.
You'll contribute to ongoing enhancement of governance, oversight and financial crime controls.
What you might bring
Experience in Financial Crime Compliance, Compliance, Risk or Financial Crime Operations.
A strong understanding of financial crime frameworks and associated regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills .
The ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills , with experience presenting information to senior stakeholders.
Confidence influencing, advising and constructively challenging stakeholders at all levels.
The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
A collaborative, pragmatic and relationship-focused approach.
ICA, ACAMS or similar professional qualifications would be beneficial but are not essential.
