AboutThe Role
We are looking for a FP&A analyst to help drive our best-in-class FP&A team. As a team we are responsible for a myriad of critical items, including executive reporting, senior stakeholder engagement, insight-focused analysis of our portfolio, and team enablement (i.e. raising departmental technical aptitude). The role adds value to Finance’s business partnering capability by providing accurate and important information at the right time.
With the support of your manager, you will be responsible for the production of our suite of executive financial reporting and will be working with other Business Partners within the finance team to deliver the key messages for the business. The role also involves partnership with stakeholder teams within the US.
- Synthesising and simplifying financial and non-financial data
- Supporting in production of Month End reports;
- Working with team members and the wider FP&A team to feed into monthly financials review (MFR) meetings and/or other reporting requirements
- Supporting delivery of Quarterly Financial reviews and other monthly/quarterly tasks at high quality and within deadlines
- Supporting ad hoc reporting requests from leadership
- Developing reporting to facilitate monitoring and communication of performance against targets or to support review of outlooks (i.e. forecasts) and budgets
- Ensuring reporting reflects the most up-to-date and accurate information available.
- Supporting in depth analysis into our portfolio to drive key financial insights
- Utilising all systems and applications relevant to the required outputs of the role (e.g., One Stream, Workday, G-Suite, Microsoft Office).
- Investigating new technologies and tools and supporting process improvement work streams
- Using business knowledge to enable work to be focussed on finance priorities
- Pushing the envelope of our capabilities via new data and automation
- Focusing on key risks and opportunities
- Collaborating across finance teams to deliver business outcomes together
- Functional knowledge of accounting and financial principles (e.g. P&L, budget & forecast etc)
- Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to delivering results
- Strong analytical skills e.g. outlook variance, overall story, accuracy, spotting errors and asking the right questions
- Communication - within and outside Finance. Ability to tailor written and verbal comms as appropriate
- Relationship building and stakeholder management with teams internal and external to Finance
- Continuous improvement and change-agility mindset
- Technical skills/willingness to learn (e.g. familiarity with python, sql, snowflake, AI tools etc) a major plus!
This is a permanent position based in our Nottingham office. We embrace a hybrid approach to work. You'll spend three days a week in the office (Tuesday-Thursday), with Monday and Friday being dedicated work-from-home days. Our offices are designed to inspire and support you.
