The role will be fully office based for the first six months, with the option to work from home one day per week after this. This is a busy and varied position combining administration with paraplanning support. Previous experience within an IFA or financial planning environment would be a real advantage. However, our client will also consider an intelligent and capable Administrator who is keen to learn and develop a career within financial services.
Key Responsibilities Supporting the Paraplanner with the administration and tracking of paraplanning work Gathering and maintaining client information and documentation Contacting pension and investment providers to obtain information Carrying out research to support client recommendations Assisting with client reports and preparing documentation for Paraplanner review Preparing and distributing annual review packs Processing and monitoring new business submissions across a range of providers and investment platforms Following cases through to completion and keeping clients and advisers updated Maintaining accurate client records, tasks and new business registers Responding to enquiries from clients, advisers and providers Completing monthly valuations Ensuring all records are maintained in line with compliance, data protection and internal procedures Developing knowledge of financial products, platforms and relevant regulations Key Skills Previous IFA, financial planning or financial services administration experience would be beneficial but is not essential Strong general administration experience Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Experience using CRM or financial services systems would be advantageous Able to manage a busy workload and work accurately to deadlines Professional and confident communication skills Proactive, self-motivated and willing to learn Able to work independently as well as part of a small team A genuine interest in developing a career within financial services
