Financial accounting jobs in the southwest are some of the hardest for us recruiters to fill. Why?

B) Some candidates find the title off putting; assuming all analytical with no commercial orientation.

What we’re looking for. There are two types of candidate that we’re focussing on:
Existing financial accountants or those with strong analytical experience and practice-based candidates, ideally (though not essentially), with a background in audit/corporate finance who are seeking a quality opportunity in industry. A professional qualification is a must - ACA/ACCA/CIMA all appropriate, either recently qualified or 1-4 years PQE. Strong technical accounting skills, commercial awareness, experience of various reporting standards and a strong IT aptitude are essential criteria, as will be exceptional communication skills.
Last but not least, a strong desire for career progression with a dynamic, “let’s solve this” attitude will be clincher.
