The best deals start with clear thinking long before anything gets signed. As a Corporate Development Associate, you’ll help turn strategic opportunities into well-evidenced investment cases, supporting M&A and capital-raising activity across a SaaS sector, IoT or connected vehicle/technology international businesses.

Working closely with management, you’ll evaluate opportunities, develop investment theses and provide the financial and strategic analysis senior leaders need to make informed decisions. From financial modelling and diligence to board materials and advisor relationships, you’ll have exposure across the deal lifecycle in a role where the quality of your analysis will directly influence major commercial decisions.

What’s in it for you

£1,100 per day, providing an excellent earning opportunity for the initial contract period
Fully remote working with an international remit across a worldwide organisation
Exposure to both inbound M&A opportunities and outbound capital-raising processes
The opportunity to work closely with management and prepare analysis for senior leadership
Involvement across investment theses, financial modelling, diligence and active deal processes
An initial six-month contract offering high-level exposure to strategically important transactions
Your responsibilities as Corporate Development Associate

Support development of investment theses and value-creation narratives in collaboration with management, helping translate strategic rationale into clear, well-substantiated frameworks
Prepare board- and executive-level materials (decks, memos, briefing documents) summarizing deal status, financial implications, and strategic considerations
Build and maintain financial models to evaluate target economics, deal structures, and potential return or accretion/dilution scenarios
Substantiate strategic and financial analysis with rigorous data — market sizing, comparable transactions, synergy quantification
Review and synthesize primary source materials (CIMs, teasers, executive summaries, data room documents) with a high bar for factual accuracy and traceability
Engage regularly with investment bankers, financial advisors, and other deal intermediaries, helping manage information flow and process timelines
Support and help coordinate diligence processes on both sides of a transaction — internal diligence on acquisition targets and diligence readiness when the company is the subject of investor or acquirer interest
Help qualify inbound opportunities against strategic and financial screening criteria, flagging fit, risk, and relative priority for leadership review
Contribute to capital-raising processes, including preparing materials for prospective investors and helping manage the related relationship pipeline
Track competitive and market intelligence relevant to sector positioning to inform ongoing thesis development
Coordinate with finance, legal, and operating teams as needed during active deal processes
Draft internal and external communications summarizing process updates and recommendations for stakeholders
Maintain organized, up-to-date deal documentation and process trackers
Support evaluation of external advisory relationships, including comparing engagement options for specialized or time-sensitive work
What we’re looking for in a Corporate Development Associate

2-4 years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate development, or strategy consulting
Experience supporting M&A diligence processes, ideally on both buy-side and sell-side or investor-facing work
Strong financial modelling skills — DCF, comparable transactions/companies, accretion-dilution, synergy analysis
Comfortable engaging directly with bankers, advisors, and other external…
