Investment Banker - M&A

About the Role

Our client is looking for a driven and experienced Investment Banker specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to join their esteemed team in Port Elizabeth. This role is essential for advising clients on complex corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate restructurings. You will play a key role in deal execution, client relationship management, and business development within the financial services industry.

• Manage and execute M&A transactions from origination through closing.
• Develop comprehensive financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction models.
• Prepare marketing materials, including pitch books, confidential information memorandums, and management presentations.
• Conduct due diligence, identify risks, and structure transaction terms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, and other stakeholders.
• Support business development efforts and identify new M&A opportunities.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related business field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
• 5-7 years of investment banking or corporate finance experience, with a strong focus on M&A.
• Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and transaction structuring.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Strong network within the corporate and financial community.
