About the Role

Our client seeks a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join their finance team in a completely remote setting. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of corporate tax compliance, planning, and strategy. You will ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns, identify tax planning opportunities, and provide expert advice on tax implications of business decisions. • Prepare and file federal, state, and local income tax returns for the organization.
• Conduct tax research and analysis to identify tax planning opportunities and strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, staying updated on changes.
• Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Provide tax advice on complex transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and other business initiatives.
• Develop and implement tax policies and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant tax operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation; MST or equivalent advanced degree is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate tax accounting, with a strong focus on compliance and planning.
• In-depth knowledge of South African tax legislation and international tax principles.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
