About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Remote Tax Specialist to manage and optimize their tax compliance and strategy across various jurisdictions. This role is critical for ensuring adherence to all tax laws and regulations, minimizing tax liabilities, and contributing to sound financial planning. You will be responsible for preparing tax returns, conducting tax research, and advising the business on tax implications of various transactions, all from a remote work environment.

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns accurately and on time for all relevant jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliance with all national and international tax laws and regulations.

• Identify opportunities for tax planning and optimization to reduce tax liabilities.
• Liaise with tax authorities and external tax advisors as needed.
• Stay current with changes in tax legislation and advise the company accordingly.

• Bachelor's degree in Taxation, Accounting, or Finance; a Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., SAIT) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax, with a strong understanding of South African tax law.
• Proven experience in tax compliance, planning, and advisory roles.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and tax research databases.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote setting.
