About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Planning Manager to lead their financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, operating remotely to serve their South African operations. This role is responsible for developing long-term financial strategies, managing the budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing critical financial insights to senior leadership. You will drive financial discipline and strategic decision-making by delivering accurate, timely, and relevant financial information.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial modeling, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences across the organization.
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with company strategy.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for executive review.
- Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, tracking progress against goals.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand their financial needs and provide support.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, or a similar role.
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a remote team.
