Tax Accountant - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Accountant to join their finance team in a fully remote position, supporting their operations across South Africa. This role is critical for ensuring compliance with all tax regulations, optimizing tax strategies, and managing tax liabilities for the company. You will be responsible for preparing and filing various tax returns, providing tax advice, and staying abreast of changes in tax law.

• Prepare and file all corporate tax returns, including income tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes.
• Conduct tax research and provide advice on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
• Ensure compliance with all national and local tax laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
• Reconcile tax accounts and manage tax audits effectively.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and advise the company accordingly.

• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree, with a specialization in Taxation.
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA) or CTA is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate tax accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of South African tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
