About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Tax Consultant to join their advisory team in Durban . This role focuses on providing expert tax advice to a diverse clientele, ensuring compliance with South African tax legislation and optimizing tax positions. You will analyze complex tax issues, develop tax planning strategies, and represent clients in tax disputes. • Provide comprehensive tax advisory services to corporate and individual clients.
• Prepare and review tax returns for various entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct tax research and provide guidance on complex tax legislation interpretations.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
• Represent clients before the South African Revenue Service (SARS) in audits and disputes.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and advise clients accordingly.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Law, or Finance;
  Postgraduate qualification in Taxation is preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in tax consulting or a similar tax-focused role.
• Solid understanding of South African income tax, VAT, and corporate tax legislation.
• Experience with tax research software and tax preparation tools.
• Strong analytical, research, and client-facing communication skills.
