Finance Manager

Robert Half is partnering with a growing technology recruitment firm to recruit a Finance Manager for its head office in Reading. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys being hands-on and is looking to develop into a Financial Controller role (via promotion) over the next 2-3 years. You'll work closely with the Finance Director, taking ownership of key finance processes while helping shape the future of the finance function.

The Role You'll oversee the day-to-day finance operations and play a key role in month-end reporting, payroll, forecasting and financial controls.

Key responsibilities:

Prepare Monthly management accounts and reporting packs Manage Month-end including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations Oversee staff payroll, commissions and pension uploads Produce cash flow forecasts and support budgeting activities Maintain robust financial controls and support the annual audit Partner with operational teams to improve reporting and finance processes About You ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified (or equivalent) Experience producing management accounts from start to finish Confident with balance sheet reconciliations, journals and month-end Payroll experience, or the willingness to take ownership following training Strong Excel skills and a proactive, organised approach Comfortable working in a growing, fast-paced professional services environment Salary & Benefits £ 4 days in office 1 day working from home Clear progression to Financial Controller Supportive leadership and genuine career development Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
