About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Credit Risk Analyst to join their fully remote team based in Bloemfontein . This role is essential in evaluating the creditworthiness of potential borrowers and managing the credit risk exposure of the organization. You will analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market data to make informed lending decisions and develop risk mitigation strategies.
This position offers a significant opportunity to contribute to the company's financial stability and growth within a remote-first operational structure. You will be part of a dedicated team focused on maintaining robust risk management practices and supporting sound financial decision-making.
- Assess the credit risk of new and existing clients by analyzing financial data, credit histories, and market conditions.
- Develop and implement credit scoring models and risk assessment methodologies.
- Monitor loan portfolios for potential credit deterioration and recommend proactive measures.
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports and present findings and recommendations to the credit committee.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to support business growth while managing risk.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or a related financial role.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, ratio analysis, and credit risk principles.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, including advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
