Senior Finance Assistant / Senior Accounts Assistant Melton Mowbray | Permanent | Up to £35,000 DOE + study support

Are you looking for a role where you can take real ownership of a broad Finance function rather than being one small part of a large transactional team? I am recruiting for a growing SME looking for a Senior Finance Assistant / Senior Accounts Assistant to join its small Finance team and work closely with the Financial Controller.

This is a hands on, varied role covering:

• Full process AP and AR Banking and reconciliations
• Payment runs and cash allocation
• General Finance and ledger support
• Month end and year end support
• VAT, CIS and payroll related Finance support
• Stock and operational Finance

Over time, you will take on more responsibility for month end, management accounts and year end, with genuine scope to develop your role within the business.

• Up to £35,000 DOE

• Potential to move to 2 days working from home once established
• AAT / ACCA / CIMA study support

About you

You will have solid transactional Finance experience across both AP and AR, alongside bank reconciliations, payments and general Finance duties. You will be someone who is hands on, reliable, accurate and comfortable taking ownership. You do not need to know everything already, but you do need the confidence and willingness to learn and develop.
