About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Financial Controller to lead their financial operations from anywhere. This position is critical in providing strategic financial leadership and ensuring the integrity of all financial reporting and controls for the organization. You will be responsible for managing a remote finance team, developing financial strategies, and ensuring compliance with global accounting standards.

- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, and treasury functions on a remote basis.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, providing strategic financial insights and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions.
- Supervise and mentor a distributed team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CA(SA) or equivalent is essential.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a controllership role.
- Proven experience managing remote teams and operations.
- Expertise in financial reporting standards (IFRS), budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis .
- Proficiency with advanced financial software and ERP systems.
