Remote Senior Tax Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join their finance department on a fully remote basis. This role is critical for managing the company's tax compliance and planning across various jurisdictions. You will be responsible for preparing complex tax returns, advising on tax implications of business transactions, and ensuring adherence to all tax laws. This is a fully remote opportunity, allowing you to work from your preferred location while contributing significantly to our financial strategy.

• Prepare and file federal, provincial, and local tax returns for the company and its subsidiaries.
• Conduct tax research on complex issues and provide strategic advice to management.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, identifying potential risks.
• Assist in managing tax audits and liaising with tax authorities.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
• Review financial statements for tax provision accuracy.

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent, with a specialization in Taxation.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in corporate tax, with a strong focus on compliance and planning.
• In-depth knowledge of South African tax legislation and international tax principles.
• Proven experience with tax software and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, essential for remote work.
