Lead Investment Banker

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly experienced and motivated Lead Investment Banker to spearhead their remote advisory services, based out of the Cape Town region but operating globally. This senior position involves leading deal execution, managing client relationships, and driving business development efforts within mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and corporate finance advisory. You will leverage your extensive network and expertise to guide clients through complex financial transactions.

• Lead the origination and execution of M&A transactions, debt, and equity financings.
• Develop comprehensive financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction structures.
• Manage client relationships, providing strategic financial advice and guidance throughout the deal process.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, financial institutions, and other market participants.
• Mentor and supervise junior members of the investment banking team.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and client engagements.

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in investment banking or corporate finance advisory.
• Proven track record of successfully originating and executing complex financial transactions.
• In-depth knowledge of financial markets, valuation methodologies, and deal structuring.
• Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and client management skills.
• Strong leadership capabilities and experience managing deal teams.
