About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and investigative Forensic Accountant to join their remote team. You will analyze financial data, uncover irregularities, and prepare detailed reports for legal proceedings or internal review. Key Responsibilities- Conduct financial investigations into fraud, asset misappropriation, and other financial crimes.
- Analyze complex financial records, including electronic data, to identify patterns and anomalies.
- Prepare comprehensive forensic accounting reports detailing findings, methodologies, and conclusions.
- Assist legal counsel in litigation support, including discovery and expert witness testimony.
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent and detect financial fraud within organizations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders as required.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Masters degree is advantageous.
- Significant experience in forensic accounting, fraud examination, or auditing.
- Certifications such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) are highly desirable.
- Expertise in data analysis tools and techniques for uncovering financial irregularities.
- Strong investigative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills suitable for legal contexts.
