We’re looking for an experienced Tax Compliance Senior to join our client’s growing team in Glasgow on a permanent basis. In this role, you’ll be responsible for accurately entering tax information into specialist software, preparing client records for review by the Tax Compliance Manager. You’ll manage more complex areas of the portfolio, including Profit Sharing, Farmers’ Averaging Claims and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) computations, while ensuring tax returns are submitted electronically to HMRC.
You’ll also liaise with clients to obtain any outstanding information, identify and report HMRC compliance enquiry notices, and provide guidance, training and ongoing support to Tax Compliance Assistants within the wider team.
Your personality, experience and qualificationsYou will ideally be ATT or CTA qualified, although candidates who are qualified by experience (QBE) in a similar role will also be considered. You’ll have proven experience working in an accounting or tax compliance role within an accountancy practice, alongside fluent English and a full UK driving licence, which is essential for the position.
You’ll be a proactive and dependable team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities. Strong organisation, problem-solving and time management skills are essential, along with the ability to use your initiative, work effectively under pressure and consistently meet strict deadlines.
