Tax Specialist

Our client is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Tax Specialist to provide expert tax advice and ensure compliance for their operations, supporting their business based in Upington. This role is critical for managing the company's tax affairs, including corporate tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes, ensuring all obligations are met efficiently and effectively. You will play a key role in tax planning, strategy, and risk management.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned tax professional to work remotely and contribute to the financial integrity of the organization within the Northern Cape region.

• Manage all aspects of corporate tax compliance, including tax computations and returns (e.g., Income Tax, VAT, SDL, UIF).
• Provide tax advice and support on business transactions, new initiatives, and strategic decisions.
• Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax legislation and their impact.
• Assist with tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities (e.g., SARS).
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
• Ensure accurate and timely tax payments and filings.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Law, or Finance with a specialization in Taxation.
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA), Master's in Taxation, or similar is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax, either in practice or industry.
• In-depth knowledge of South African tax legislation and SARS practices.
• Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
