Brief

Job Description:

The Data Analyst III reports to the Financial Data Team Manager within the Office of Finance. The position performs moderate complex functions involving analysis, quality, research, and reconciliation. Work entails querying and compiling data, developing technical solutions such as creating databases, developing software applications using computer languages, as well as other maintenance related functions such as performing data quality metrics. The position prepares financial reports, identifies data trends, and establishes data quality metrics and measures to support organizational improvements.

Full time remote worker.

Essential Job Functions (EJFs):

Performs data integrity functions in CAPPS Fin, subsystems, and applications involving the maintenance of financial data fields within the chart of accounts, establishing/updating data fields, performing combo edit rule maintenance to establish correct combinations of data fields, performing system tree maintenance to establish and maintain correct data hierarchy within CAPPS Fin and other subsystems and applications. Maintains electronic data interface (EDI) layout to ensure compliance with People Soft and IRS regarding data formatting.

Serves as the security coordinator for the internal and external financial systems. Reviews, analysis, and determines the appropriateness of the roles, identifies conflicts, and recommends changes. Performs user access audits and certifications. Recommends changes and improvements to ensure compliance with Comptroller policies and best practices.
