What You Can ExpectThe Acquisitions, Investments and Financial Advisory ("AIFA") team is a fast‑paced group closely involved in major transactions and strategic initiatives undertaken by ENGIE in North America. As a member of the team, you will support the valuation and financial risk analysis of new projects and contribute to the structuring and execution of merger and acquisition ("M&A"), project finance, and other investment transactions.
You will collaborate with business development, finance, accounting, tax, legal, and other internal teams to develop assumptions, evaluate investment opportunities, and support informed decision‑making.
- Develop and maintain detailed, Excel‑based financial models to support investment decisions, including relevant sensitivity and scenario analyses
- Collaborate across internal functions to develop financial model inputs and assumptions, ensuring information is accurately incorporated into the models
- Identify project economic and financial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures and contingencies
- Develop, analyze, and evaluate financial options and proposals related to business development projects and other funding needs
- Support internal approval processes for new economic commitments and associated financing arrangements
- Contribute to the structuring, negotiation, and execution of financing documents for medium‑to‑large‑sized transactions in accordance with ENGIE project finance practices
- Prepare presentations and supporting materials for lenders, management, and internal approval committees
- Support the valuation of existing assets, including annual asset impairment testing
- Carry out other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in which you completed coursework in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Relevant professional experience in investment banking, project finance, corporate finance, financial advisory, private equity, infrastructure investment, business development, or a strategic energy company
- Energy industry experience supporting renewable energy, distributed generation, energy services, retail electricity, natural gas transportation or distribution, or other energy infrastructure activities
- Demonstrated experience developing and using detailed, Excel‑based financial models
- Ability to evaluate financial information, project economics, sensitivities, risks, and investment assumptions
- Understanding of accounting principles, tax structures, and commercial considerations relevant to investments and financing transactions
- Ability to manage multiple assignments accurately and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively across business functions while maintaining ownership of assigned analyses and deliverables
- Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate financial information to internal and external stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, problem‑solving skills, initiative, and the ability to learn
- This role is based in Houston, Texas and is eligible for our hybrid work policy, with a minimum of three days working in the office and two days working from home
- Future opportunities may require domestic travel based on the responsibilities and level of the specific position
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
