What you will do:We are seeking a Director to play a pivotal role in advancing our quantitative equity strategies. As a member of the Quantitative Equity Research team, you will lead innovative research initiatives aimed at enhancing investment processes and driving superior risk-adjusted returns for client portfolios. This position offers broad responsibility for shaping and promoting research both internally and externally, contributing directly to the growth of our global investment business.
You will report to the Head of Quantitative Equity Research and collaborate with other top quantitative equity researchers in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment.
- Drive independent, rigorous research projects focused on developing new security selection signals and enhancing core elements of the investment process.
- Identify, source, and integrate novel datasets-spanning stock-specific, industry-level, and macroeconomic information-to strengthen research capabilities.
- Author white papers on emerging ideas and market developments to position the firm at the forefront of quantitative research.
- Present research findings to clients and prospects, reinforcing the value and impact of our investment strategies.
- Monitor academic and sell-side equity research and leverage external expertise to inform and advance our work.
- Serve as a thought leader, delivering creative solutions to intellectually demanding problems and driving continuous innovation.
- Graduate degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline required;
Ph.D. preferred. - Minimum 5 years of research experience in quantitative investing, with deep knowledge of theoretical and empirical asset pricing.
- Proficiency in Python and demonstrated ability to manage and analyze large, complex datasets.
- Experience with advanced techniques such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing is highly desirable.
- Ability to critically evaluate and apply academic and practitioner research to real-world investment challenges.
- Exceptional ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences, including internal teams and clients.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and initiative; capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Track record of delivering high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
